Built for Texas

Built for Texas Weather

Texas weather is hard on a building. Here is how to choose the right setup for your property.

  • Hail and high wind

14-gauge frames are rated to 120 mph and 12-gauge frames to 140 mph. Upgraded anchors add a 20-year wind warranty.

  • Summer heat

Light roof colors like White, Light Stone and Galvalume reflect more sun. See all 20 options in our color guide.

  • Every kind of ground

We install on concrete, asphalt, gravel or dirt. The site needs to be level. Rocky or unlevel ground voids the wind warranty.

  • Permits and HOAs

Rules vary by city, county and HOA. Check before you order. Our scheduling and permit team (ext. 2) can help with your questions.

We have waited 6 years to turn our ugly carport into a garage/shop. Our dreams came true last week and East TX carports / MTX metal buildings in Montgomery were fantastic. We had our 18x20 building up in less than 8hrs. Done very well! We are doing the insulation ourselves and all that but I am so pleased with the experience.

I purchased a 20’x27’ enclosed garage. This company, their product and their installation crew are amazing. I had concrete that was already installed when I bought the house. The concrete was pretty unlevel. The crew was able to install it without gaps, and still making it level. I was amazed at their craftsmanship! Great job, very courteous crew with great explanation. I highly recommend this company!

The crew showed up at 12:50 pm. They were completely done and on the road to their next job in Shreveport by 2:10 pm. They were fast. They were friendly. They did a great job cleaning up the site before they left. Ordering was easy. I was able to upgrade a few items as well as choosing from a selection of colors. I am very pleased. East Texas Carports did a great job. I recommend them for this type of construction.
