Where is East Texas Carports located?
Our sales and scheduling office is at 1000½ W. Cotton St., Longview, TX 75604. Our manufacturing facility, where framing and panels are fabricated in-house, is at 970 Post Oak Rd., Kilgore, TX 75662.

What services does East Texas Carports offer?
Founded in 2019, we're a family-owned business handling fabrication, manufacturing, scheduling, delivery, and installation across our six-state service area, through both direct sales and a dealer network.
How long does the process take from start to finish?
Most projects take 6–16 weeks from design to completion — accounting for design and permitting, manufacturing (4–12 weeks), delivery, and installation (1–5 days).
How long is my sales price valid?
Your price is locked in once you put down a 10% deposit and sign your paperwork — it's guaranteed regardless of future price changes.

Sales & Pricing Questions
What types of surfaces can a building or carport be installed on?
We install on dirt, gravel, asphalt, or concrete, using an anchoring system matched to your specific site conditions.
What's the minimum down payment to place an order?
A 10% down payment plus signed paperwork secures your order. Our scheduling team will contact you within 5–10 business days.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, check, ACH transfer, debit card, money order, wire transfer, or credit card (3% processing fee applies).
Do you provide complete turnkey building solutions?
No — our services cover the metal building system itself. Ground preparation and interior finishing require a separate contractor.
Can I add insulation to my building?
Yes. Bubble reflective insulation is available, priced separately for the roof, sides, and ends.
What does a two-tone color option cost?
Two-tone is included at no extra charge on horizontal panel buildings. Vertical panel buildings carry an additional charge for two-tone finishes.
What's the difference between paint-match screws and regular screws?
Paint-match screws blend with your panel color for a cleaner look at a slightly higher cost. Regular galvanized or stainless screws stay visible but cost less.
What's the difference between horizontal and vertical roofs?
Horizontal panels run parallel to the ground and need careful drainage planning. Vertical panels run ridge-to-eave, which improves water drainage and structural performance — this is our recommended option.
What's your refund policy on deposits?
All down payment deposits are non-refundable, per your signed order paperwork.
Manufacturing Questions
Who manufactures your buildings?
Every building is manufactured in-house at our Kilgore, Texas facility using Sherwin-Williams® powder-coated steel. We also manufacture for a network of trusted dealers.
What are the maximum building dimensions?
Residential buildings: up to 30 ft. wide and 16 ft. tall. Commercial buildings: up to 60 ft. wide and 18 ft. tall. Lean-tos: up to 16 ft. wide.
What materials are used in your buildings?
Standard construction uses 14-gauge tubing with 29-gauge sheet metal. Premium upgrades to 12-gauge tubing and 26-gauge sheet metal are available. All panels use Sherwin-Williams® powder-coated coils, pressed in-house.
Can I pick up my building and install it myself?
Yes — customer pickup with DIY installation qualifies for a 10% discount. Note that buildings installed by the customer are not covered under warranty.
Can you add side drive-in doors?
Yes. Roll-up doors or wall cut-outs are available for an additional fee that varies by size, covering labor and reinforcement materials.
Can you make precise 45-degree cuts?
Yes — each 45-degree cut carries an additional $75 fee to cover the precision labor and specialized equipment involved.
What are the recommended anchoring methods?
Mobile home anchors: 30-in. corkscrew anchors for dirt or gravel, spaced every 10 ft. Asphalt anchors: 30-in. anchors spaced every 10 ft. Concrete anchors: 6-in., 1/4-in. diameter anchors spaced every 5 ft., with the pad extending 3 in. beyond the building. Rebar anchors: 3-ft. straight rods for dirt or gravel — a temporary solution that does not carry a wind warranty.
Delivery & Installation Questions
How should I prepare a concrete foundation?
Your concrete pad should match your building's footprint, roughly 1 ft. shorter in length than the roofline, with 3 in. added on all sides recommended. Concrete damage during installation is considered normal wear and isn't covered under warranty.
Who installs my building?
Our own skilled, professional installers handle every installation. Installation dates are estimates — weather, equipment issues, traffic, crew availability, or site conditions can cause delays that don't qualify for compensation.
How do you deliver my building to my site?
We use specialized trailers built for metal construction, fully loaded with panels, framing, anchors, hardware, and professional tools. Our installation crews drive the trailer directly to your site.
How long does installation take?
Most installations are completed in a few hours to one full day. More complex projects may take longer — we prioritize quality over speed.
Do you install on weekends?
Crews typically load trailers Saturday mornings and install Monday through Friday. Weekend installations are available for special circumstances.
What should I have ready on-site for the install crew?
Nothing is required — our crews arrive self-sufficient with portable generators. Onsite electrical power isn't necessary, but it can speed up installation, improve tool performance, and reduce noise and emissions.
