Does East Texas Carports Serve All of Texas?
Yes, for most of the state. East Texas Carports delivers and installs steel buildings in more than 200 Texas counties. That's 8 regions and 40+ big cities. We serve the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We serve Greater Houston. We also serve Austin, San Antonio, East Texas, West Texas, the Gulf Coast, and North Texas. But we do not go more than 30 minutes south of San Antonio. We also skip the Rio Grande Valley and Far West Texas. That rules out El Paso, McAllen, Laredo, and Brownsville. Those spots are a long drive for us. And their coast and desert weather calls for special builds.

Areas We Don't Currently Serve
We do not go more than 30 minutes south of San Antonio. We also do not serve the Rio Grande Valley or Far West Texas. That rules out El Paso, McAllen, Laredo, and Brownsville. Why not? First, they are a long way from our Longview headquarters. Next, builds on the coast need a special hurricane-resistant design. And builds in the far west must stand up to extreme heat and wind. State and local rules set those needs. So call us before you design your building. We'll check that we cover your address.
Built for Texas Weather and Terrain
Texas is hard on a building. It has Tornado Alley, the Gulf Coast, and the dry Panhandle. Few states ask more of a structure. Here is what we plan for.
Tornadoes, Hail and High Winds
Texas gets some of the worst weather in the nation. Think tornadoes, hail, and straight-line winds. Our buildings are rated for winds up to 140 MPH. We tie them down with strong, reinforced anchors.
Extreme Heat and Cold
Texas can drop below zero in the Panhandle. It can top 110°F in South Texas. Steel grows as it heats. It shrinks as it cools. We plan for that. We also pick the right materials for each region's climate.
Every Kind of Ground
Texas land changes a lot from place to place. You'll find pine forests and desert. You'll find Hill Country limestone and Gulf Coast marsh. Our crews match the install method to the ground at each site.
