About This Workshop
This workshop is 10 feet wide, 50 feet long and 12 feet tall, with a Vertical roof style. It is finished in Pewter Gray on the roof, Pewter Gray siding and Black trim. We can build it at this exact size or change any part of it.
East Texas Carports built this 10′ x 50′ x 12′ metal building to deliver long, uninterrupted storage in a compact footprint. The narrow width keeps the structure easy to place on tighter lots, while the full 50-foot length stretches out enough to store equipment, vehicles, or supplies end to end. A steel frame backs every inch of the build, giving the structure the strength to handle heavy use year after year.
The building rises 12 feet at the legs, clearing trucks, trailers, and tall equipment without a problem. A vertical roof caps the structure in light tan panels, sloping evenly down both sides to shed rain fast. That roof style holds up against wind and pooling water far better than a flat or low-slope design, which matters on a building this long.
A Bold Two-Tone Exterior
Charcoal gray vertical panels run across the upper walls, giving the building a modern, industrial look from every angle. A rust-brown wainscot wraps the lower third of the structure, protecting the base from mud, debris, and everyday wear. That two-tone split does more than look sharp. It puts a tougher, easier-to-clean panel exactly where dirt and moisture hit hardest.
Vertical panels resist pooling water better than horizontal siding, so this exterior stays cleaner and lasts longer with less maintenance. The seam between the gray upper panels and the brown wainscot runs straight and clean down the full length of the building, giving the whole exterior a tailored, finished appearance rather than a plain, single-tone box.
Access Built for Real Use
A wide roll-up door sits near the center of the gable end, sized to handle equipment, ATVs, or vehicles that need real clearance to get in and out. That opening turns the building into more than static storage. It functions as a working space, a pull-through bay, or a secure garage depending on what the owner needs on any given day.
A dedicated 36″ x 80″ walk-in door sits beside the roll-up opening. That second entry point lets the owner step inside without raising the larger door every time, which saves time on quick trips in and out. Together, the two access points cover both heavy equipment use and everyday convenience.
Built for Texas Weather
Steel framing and heavy-gauge panels give this building the durability to stand up against everything Texas weather delivers. Summer heat, sudden storms, and high winds all put real stress on outdoor structures. A welded steel frame resists the loosening and warping that weaker materials develop over time, keeping the building solid through years of temperature swings.
The vertical roof and reinforced panel construction handle heavy rain without sagging or leaking. Wainscot paneling along the base adds another layer of protection against splashback and ground moisture, which extends the life of the lower wall sections significantly. Every material choice on this build points toward long-term durability rather than a quick, disposable structure.
A Long Building That Solves Real Storage Problems
Ten feet of width might sound narrow, but that dimension solves a specific problem for property owners working with limited space. A narrow, long building fits along a property line, beside a driveway, or behind a house without eating up an entire yard. The 50-foot length still delivers serious storage capacity, just arranged in a shape that fits tighter lots.
This layout works well for storing multiple vehicles in a row, lining up equipment for a farm or ranch, or creating a long workshop bay with room to spread out a project. The single roll-up door and walk-in entry keep the design simple, but the length gives the owner flexibility to organize the interior however the job requires.

Roof styles
Which Roof Style Is Right?
This build has a Vertical roof style. Here is how the three styles compare.
- This build
Vertical roof
Panels run from the peak down to the eave, so rain, snow and debris slide off fastest. It carries the strongest wind rating and is our top pick for most of our service area.
- This build
A-frame (boxed eave) roof
A peaked roof with boxed eaves and horizontal panels for a clean, house-like look at a lower price than vertical.
- This build
Horizontal (regular) roof
Rounded eaves with horizontal panels. It costs the least and works well in milder weather. We do not warranty horizontal roofs on buildings longer than 36 feet.
